Motivation Proclamation

Good evening....again, I have been listening to Good Charlotte all night long....It's The You Tube...it sucks me in...I can't help myself.  Again, I am not 15 years old...however, as previously mentioned, I do have a recurring role as one on that new T.V. show...you know the one..oh, on that one channel..on that one night....It's there..trust me!

We have been spending more time than we actually should be spending out at 'The Wall.'  One reason is that it has been so hot in these here parts and no one wants to sit in their sweat-box apartment...so 'The Wall' is an oasis of sorts..The entire crew has been in attendance...they all complain about the heat and there is the usual, casual banter...I continue to try and find the words to explain what is known as 'The Wall,' yet I am always at a loss...And that NEVER happens to me...ever!  I can tell you that they would make the PERFECT reality T.V. show...I kid you not...  I need to take my notebook out with me..if I took more notes, I'd be able to capture the essence that is...'The Wall...'  That still makes me laugh...well, as do most things...

I still have many, many, many pickles to can.  I feel as though I am in the Twlight Zone of Pickles..it is never-ending...but I blew the pickles off tonight.... I had cooking to address...and that guy...the one with the chainsaw...  it was a busy day.....

"Awwww, Mama...we have gone over this a million times...the food already!?!?!?!"

I was thinking about food I have made over these few blogs....not once have I cooked pork, unless of the bacon variety...so we stepped it up a notch this evening.  I liked it!  It was a hoot!!  Like Woodsy, the owl...I like owls, too...In case anyone cared...

Please, allow me to introduce...Pork Tenderloin Medallions with Carmelized Pears and Pear-Cream Sauce..all atop a bed of Goat Cheese Polenta.  (little finger clap, folks??? just a little one????  Ya gonna make a gal beg???)....

Pork tenderloin, thyme, pear, cream, shallots, butter and pear syrup...this photo is dedicated to a spectacular chainsaw juggler for obvious reasons...Also, I do not want to omit the Courvoisier...used for deglazing the SOJ...I have been laughing hysterically for hours over that one., not deglazing, mind you...but..The Ladies Man.  Anyone remember that???  Leon Phelps...an expert in the ways of love..ohhhh, it's a lady...As I have digressed...one of the best SNL skits/characters EVER....I'm sure that is why I purchased the Courvoisier...because spelling it is sort of a PITA...just sayin'...

I felt the aforementioned pork and it's posse would be best suited atop goat cheese polenta...Here are the elements necessary for polenta!  And, no I do not sell Sham-wow's in my spare time..I'm just a fan of punctuation...there's nothing wrong with punctuation.,!-?:;"?()  :-)
Corn meal, cream, stock, butter, and....the star!!!! Goat Cheese....Hmmmm...goat cheese...about as yummy as....a chainsaw juggler, perhaps??  yep!

You begin the meal by caramelizing a pear...which is first peeled and diced..No problem for a ninja with mad knife skills, in case you were a quizzical kinda person...and I've got the scars to prove such a claim, merely because I am an injury-prone, clumsy ninja...tisk-tisk!

Butter, sugar and pears...

While my pear mixture was doing its thing....I seared/cooked my tenderloin...

A task such as this calls for...none other than my.... Skillet of Justice!!!  Sorry, folks...I promise, I'll let the SOJ go...I just couldn't resist..I couldn't help myself...I'm trying really hard to move along....Anyhooo, in your SOJ, if you are lucky enough to possess such a thing...brown some pork tenderloin..you'll have no regrets, no apologies...trust me...

While all of these other things are going on in the kitchen, and because you are a master multi-tasker...you can make a pear-cream sauce...which is vital for the completion of this dish...

Deglaze first with a little Courvoisier..because you're a lady..ohhh, yeah...hahahahaha... then add
Cream...shallots, thyme...pear syrup....shall you need more???

"Mama.....come on!  I am sick of drooling here on the edge of the kitchen...put down your camera and finish dinner...please!!  I promise I won't get up until 5am if you do...Cross my heart and hope to die..stick a needle in my eye..."

We managed to pull things together and complete the meal....

The goat cheese polenta was a perfect accompaniment to the sweetness of the pears and the tenderloin.  Perfect combination...
Perfect Situation, as well...I like that Weezer song..Oh, Rivers...and P.T.I's...

Again, I had some issues with my photos...The whole osmosis thing with my user's manual for the camera just isn't working out...I hung in there, hoping things would change...I thank you for joining us..sorry there were no martini-drinking crabs...they're an anomaly....like me!  ahahahahaha...that jesting issue...WIP, my friends...Please join us tomorrow.  We'll be here..yep..
