Welcome to my life

I'm not that easy to get rid of!  Or, perhaps getting rid of me is not something that would happen...that sounds better.  Those dangling prepositions haunt me, and I hate being an abuser of aforementioned prepositions hanging out at the end of a sentence.  If I have violated any additional rules regarding grammar, my sister will be sure and inform me of such violations.  After all, it's what she does for a living.

I have overcome the complete and utter disaster I called 'dinner' on Wednesday.  It was tough.  It took an entire box of Kleenex and a pint of Phish Food ice cream, but I have fully recovered.  Thursday was my evening with the cats, and felt that would be an appropriate moment for a break.  I was able to clear my head and focus on my purpose in life.  Which is...... yet to be determined.....

I did eat a bit yesterday.  My goodness, it was so amazing!  I decided to splurge and have a Chicken McNugget Happy Meal.  Perhaps one of THE best decisions of my life (and those are few and far between.  hahahahahaha).  I realize the chicken content is rather questionable, but they were so awesome!  I hadn't had one in months.  The absolute best part of the Happy Meal is the toy.  Yes, at my age things of this nature should be of little to no concern...however, I just can't get over the excitement of food which includes a toy!  Perfect combination!!  I was rather fortunate with my food purchase..maybe....

Meet Grumpy Smurf.  He was labeled as such, however he does not appear to be all that grumpy.  Heck, I was super grumpy yesterday and looked nothing like Grumpy Smurf.  Perhaps it is the basket of blueberries?  I don't understand that either....maybe because they are blue???  I obviously have too much free time if I am able to attempt to analyze the sense and validity of a Happy Meal toy.  But, it just makes no sense!  None...and it's sort of irritating.

I have to stop thinking about Smurfs before I drive everyone crazy!  I will mention that even E.V. was perplexed by the Smurf...
"Ya know Mama...like Judge Judy always says...if it doesn't make sense it is usually not true!"   Total smarty-pants!

Smurfs aside...we ate some real food this evening.  Well, that and listen to Simple Plan and hang out at "The Wall"... That's my new obsession....Simple Plan!   Pierre Bouvier...call me!  I'm a sucker for the Canadian accent.  hahahahaha.  No, seriously!  I have a passport and everything!  I am willing to even learn the metric system and convert to the CAD...talk about commitment!  And where's a fireman when you need one???!!!???  Hello??

Kidding aside....I spoke with my new friends from "The Wall."  A total other blog..however they are all OK with being part of this...but photos may be few and far between, and....I will talk about them tomorrow.  I've been taking notes.  That's the kind of gal I am!  Total hoot.

Shall we move onto some food...I hadn't really had any since Tuesday, but that's just fine...  unless you count my Happy Meal...I've been a little preoccupied...but in a good way!

I originaly attempted to be a bit more articulate with my description of meals, based on viewer response (i.e....one follower merely had a few suggestions..good suggestions).  As well as provide some more in-depth photos.  I can totally do that, just not tonight, and just not after this week.  However, I promise to give it a try!!  We have next week...yes we do..no crying!

"I know, Mama...now can we just eat???  I'm starving!"

We had Tillamook cheddar mac an cheese!  YAY!!

Ham with hazelnut cream sauce!

I love this....and placing the rosemary atop all before you bake is key!!  The sauce has cream and dijon, a perfect combination with ham...

Once it was plated, we dug in....

I still feel it was missing color or garnish, or something of the both...I'll have to get back to you when I figure out what it was that was missing with the plate.  Vegetables perhaps??

I has been an interesting week.  I have yet to hit any poles in my new parking space in the garage, however I did squish a recycling bin...   Oops...  It's still a work in progress.  Thanks for being a part of our lives.  I hope we'll see you tomorrow!  hahaha.

"Like I've always said, Mama...YOU can't drive so just stop already!!"
