"Mama..ya know what day fo the week fish hate??? Frydays! hahahahahhaahah"
She is a total smarty-pants...I taught her well...tee-hee...we did go to The Fred Meyer..but it has been busy and we had no time to find another new gadget...so...I played with my existing Paratroopers..I still had six of them...so, why not!
FYI...they hang well off the feet of skeletons..yep..they do..
"So, Mama...do YOU know what fish is the most valuable????? a GOLDfish! hahahahahah"
We have totally exhausted fish jokes...things were crapilicous here today...and I predict tomorrow will be even worse..CRAPIC...even...epically crappy...get it????...we have to have a meeting...not a three gals gossiping meeting..but a real meeting where we need to dress up and wear make-up and look nice and act civilized...
Alright...I need to focus because sleeping is at the top of my agenda...Bright eyes and bushy tails are required for tomorrow...from what I have heard...I have preached the importance of agendas...tonight we need to adhere to said agenda..and no chicken! Shall you all take a seat for this announcement...at least grasp a countertop as to not fall over....it is merely in your best interest..injuries can happen easily..I speak from experience.. On the menu..Chilean sea bass with chive and sour cream sauce with spicy garlic potatoes and zucchini...
The sauce..the base of the dish...sour cream, chives and lemon....
Begin by boiling fingerlings in a pot...20 minutes or so...this process is so exciting...you probably won't be able to sleep the rest of the evening...
I hung a paratrooper from the microwave just to make things more interesting...in between shaking some bootie..it's the right thing to do...it is..for reals!.
Now once the boiled potatoes have cooled..you need to peel and slice in half, as well as slice your zucchini..
No finger injuries..nope...not one...The knife CAN be your friend...
You proceed to brown your fingerling potatoes in a skillet....yep..you can TOTALLY see where this is going...um, James Earl Jones...where are you?? WE need you...for the introductions and such..
Olive oil, a bit of crushed red pepper and approximately eight minutes...delish...like chainsaw jugglers!
Once they have browned, they are removed from the skillet and you cook your zucchini
Would you care to see them combined..in the skillet..the skillet of justice...well, too bad!
Perfect and heavenly..like those that juggle dangerous objects for a living..
I seared the sea bass...wanna 'see'??? hahahahhaa...sorry...
Sear for appoximately two minutes then bake in the oven for another 7-8 minutes...
"Mama...this all looks so fabulous! My mouth is watering...and I cannot wait to clean the dishwasher!"
We pushed along...it was getting late...we have to arise early...my foot aches...it's cold...I'm tired...sorry, my inherent need to complain..yep..sorry...
Our final meal...complete with microgreens...added bonus..exciting, actually..shhh...
Sea Bass - Spicy Garlic Potatoes and Zucchini - Chive and Sour Cream Sauce
That is all, my friends...It has been a long week... and as you can see...tee-hee....sea bass does rock like a multitude of things....knee socks, chainsaw jugglers, neighbors, Warblers, martinis, Pez, paratroopers...As I said before, I say again...see you all tomorrow..That's what makes us tough...
